I’m trying to access a virtual controller on a PC via local network. I found and followed the instructions in this discussion:

> **[ABB Robotics Community - Maintenance](https://forums.robotstudio.com/discussion/4280/can-i-access-virtual-controller-via-network)**

When debugging, I can see and create a ControllerInfo object for the desired remote VC okay, I but when I attempt to create the Controller object, I get an exception with this message:

“Message= Error connect to controller.”

Is there a solution for this problem?

Others were also getting this error in the above post, but no one seemed to have resolved it, from what I see. Here is some sample code for what I’m doing:

NetworkScanner networkScanner = new NetworkScanner(); networkScanner.Scan(); ControllerInfo controllers = networkScanner.GetControllers(); ControllerInfo controllerInfo = controllers[0]; Controller robotController = ControllerFactory.CreateFrom(controllerInfo); \<— Here is the where the problem occurs
