anyone know how to create ellipse conveyor

Hi,

only linear conveyor mechanisms are supported by RobotStudio.
RobotWare supports tracking both circular and linear conveyors.

As far as I know, elliptic conveyors are not supported by RobotWare.

Hi -

You could create a Reciprocator type mechanism and based on the pivot angle calculate where the frame of interest would be.

To support this in RS or RW would take some forward thinking math calcs to copy and modify the workobject moved from the CONV mech - creating a LAG but I beleive it can be done using CORR at the same time with Conveyor Tracking or Sensor Sync. It would take some work but with Conveyor Tracking and Path Offset generation it should be possible.

i’ve just withdrawn that idea “elipps stuff”.. but just curious .. since a lot of work will need to be done post design phase …
do you have any idea how to simulate them in robotstudio ?
hmm .. the movement .. will vary a lot .. is it possible to simulate this using Rs API ? which lib will support this.. since i could’nt find any resource (“perhaps i’m not aware or somewhat” ) that give a lot of freedom for me to manipulate the movement ..
