Hi Volker,

What RS version are you using? I suppose it is 5.10 or 5.09. If this is what I believe it is, this problem has been solved in RS 5.11. It may help also to just install the “_Robot Communication Runtime_” for RobotWare 5.11 that is available in a folder of the RobotWare 5.11 DVD. It can be downloaded from the RobotStudio Community ([www.robotstudio.com/community](http://www.robotstudio.com/community)).

Hi Henrik,

Thanks for the quick answer. Just installed the Robot Communication Runtime and tried again - but had a pretty similar Application Error:

RobotStudio debug file.
Main Thread ID: e60
Crashing Thread ID: f00
Exception Address: 18be1836
Exception Thread StartAddress: 7c920760
Crash time: 554317
Type:CM\_DEBUGSTATE\_APICALL Time from crash:20079 ms State:ABB::Robotics::robotstudio::ProjectSelection::Contains
Type:CM\_DEBUGSTATE\_SIMSTATE Time from crash:35511 ms State:LG\_SIMULATOR\_STATE\_READY
Type:CM\_DEBUGSTATE\_UNDOSTEPNAME Time from crash:35371 ms State:Als aktiv festlegen
Done! 3 entries.

DebugInformation:
182793 Key: MainGUIThread Value: e60
61008 Key: Executing Command Value: FileOpenStation
34039 Key: LgVCHelper::ThreadFunc Value: f54
20440 Key: Executing Command Value: Done
10856 Key: ExceptionHandler: Caught exception in OLE thread. It sleeps with the fishes. Value: f00
Done

Now, i will install RS5.11 completely and try again.
