A customer of ours would like to have a pickmaster PC “on the shelf” so to speak incase the production machine goes down. The two flexpickers handle the majority of their production now and they need a contingency plan for the pc. I believe imaging the production machine would not work due to the license key. Has anyone addressed this and what options are available other than purchasing a second license?
When installing PickMaster 3.x there is a 7-days license key included on the PickMaster CD. When enabling this key, all options in PickMaster will be enabled for 7-days. During these 7 days you have plenty of time to contact softwarefactory_support@se.abb.com to retrieve a new version of the license that you used on the PC that has been replaced.
Please note:
The 7 days license can only be installed ONCE on any computer
The 7 days starts when the key is installed. Hence, the 7-day license should not be installed before the PC is taken “off the shelf”. It should be installed when it is needed.
