Dig output load on CDC-200 camera [PickMaster 3]

Erik,

When I use camera distribution the strobe signal from the camera is connected in parallel to the inputs of all robots using the images from this camera. The Input current at rated input voltage from each inputs is 6mA per input. (acc. product spec’s of the robot IO board).

How many robots can a camera handle. In other words: What is the maximum number of robots which the CDC-200 camera strobe signal can be connected to?

Hello Jan,

According to the Cognex manual the maximum current output from the CDC Cameras is 125 mA. The connection is optically isolated so its fed with current from e.g the robot powersupply.

So with a current consumption of 6mA per output and the usage of 8 robots this should theoretically work.
