persistent variable trouble

Hi,

I don’t know if any one can help but I am trying to move a position of a robot on a single axis, however the position is a persistent variables and if I modify the position it gets over riden the next cycle of the machine. I can add offsets and adjusts the x,y,z but this does not solve my problem. If any ideas on how to change this position on a single axis then they would be graetly appreciated…
