Has anyone tried to use OpenCV as external image handler? Did it work well? What is the procedure to follow to integrate both?

I am also trying to do the same but not using Open CV.
I am using Common Vision Foundation Package from Stemmer Imaging. I am using this library in c# for image processing. here is the link Foundation Package.
Using this i am trying to find the location of the object and than send this position to the robot as an external sensor.
Right now i am trying to Fix the camera on Conveyor.

Have done this in serveral projects using CVB. Vision system running as a separata application and then Communication to an external sensor in pickmaster.
