reboot M2000 robot with RW 1.30

hello All,

I have a here a Irb 140, with one of the first M2000 controllers, that I would like to use again.
now I see that the pc of the controller is gone. I can get a pc from an other robot. I don’t have the key string from the IRB140 but I have a baackup.
with RW versions bigger than 1.30 it is no problem to get the key string out of the backup. just create a folder on your pc, copy from a backup (from the backinfo folder) the file key.id and the file program.id.
now robinstall will see the created folder as a robot, you can now adjust the RW version and create your bootmedia.

but in the backups I have from my IRB140-RW1.30 I can not find the key.id and the program.id file.

does somebody know how I can get the keystring out a backup from RW1.30? or does somebody knows an other way how to retrieve the keystring without costs.

thx

bart

You can get it with text editor

which file does I have to look for and where can I find it?

In your Backup folder/Backupinfo/keystr.

hallo,

this is true for robots booted with later versions from the robot ware.
but for 1.30 I can see only backinfo.txt in my folder BACKINFO . in this file the key string is not mentioned.

G’Day,
Send me a copy of your backup and I’ll go through it and try to find the informationfor you.
email: erosser@bigpond.net.au

You will find the key file, in the root of the Hd0a in the older versions of 4.0 Robotware.
