hi buddies, i wanted to confirm if the create mechanism function is disabled in the 30 day trial of RS 5.13?? ---

i tried creating a mechanism… but afte i defined the links and the joins… the next step wont come… to set the transitions n alll.. !! ---

After links and joints you have to compile your mechanism. If you can not find the button you have to maximise mechanism box because there seems to miss a scrollbar in the right side of the window to scroll down to the compile button. Had same problem to find the compile button. A tiny irritable bug ---

well… i got the button thanks… i was tryin to make a gantry mechanism.. X & Z… defined the links and the joints correctly… but when i click on compile… it gives an error.. i tried with external axis & device also… but stil no luck… pls help… thanks… ---

From the picture it seems as if the mechanism is defined as a **Device**. If you want to run it with the StandAlone Controller you should define it as a **Robot**. If you want to attach the robot to it and use it as an external axis you should define it as an **External Axis**. ( **Device** should of course work, but may not be the right choice for you anyhow). ---

It will not be disabled. Maybe their is something wrong with the software. Try to download and re-install it.
