I have Quick Teach v 5.2, build 2135. When i ever try to start it, it displays a popup stating that the virtual controller is starting and waits indefinately. It never starts, but does not display any error messages or warning. Anyone can offer help as to how I can get it to start?
I do have a couple spyware installed, but what do you mean by webware (from ABB?).
I will try to stop the spyware and see if it does anything. What do I have to do concerning webware?
Hi
Yes WebWare is a product(from ABB) for Monitoring your robots. And there is a component that is shared between QT and WebWare and if that component is registered as a service you will see the same behaviour as you have.
But from your answer I guess that you don’t have it so it’s probably the SpyWare that get you into trouble.
When I shut down CounterSpy and tried to start RS, I got a message from symantec asking if I wanted to keep blocking the application or allow it to run. I chose to allow it, the VC started to boot then gave me a popup saying: “The instruction at “0x774df0b” referenced memory at “0x00000018”, The memory could not be “read”. Click OK to terminate the program”.
What does that mean? and what can I do to make it run?
I still have a problem.
When I start QuickTeach, the screen displays but just says that the controller is starting but never does. It does not give any error message, just stays in the same state.
If I try to run ProgramMaker, it will not start. It pops up a message box stating that the virtual controller failed to synchronize and that it is closing the application.
Any suggestions?
p.s. I do not have any spyware application runniing.
Thank you
