# Tired of switching between RobotStudio® on your PC and the FlexPendant at the robot?

**Today we launched the E-Device**

The E-Device enables you to use your **Windows PC or tablet** for teach pendant functionality with the **OmniCore® User Interface app**.

**How it works:**

• **Add the E-Device** to your next robot order. It covers all safety functionality such as emergency stop, enabling button and more.

• **Connect the E-Device** to the FlexPendant connector on the OmniCore controller.

• **Connect your Windows PC or tablet** to the E-Device via USB-C (no further cable needed).

• **Open the OmniCore UI app** — either installed with RobotStudio or downloaded to your tablet.

• **Interact with the real robot safely** from your own device.

This means you can work from one Windows device and move more easily between **RobotStudio, AppStudio** and the **OmniCore UI app (Flexpendant app).**  
The **FlexPendant** remains ABB’s dedicated industrial teach pendant. The **E-Device** adds a new option for users who want more flexibility and a more connected engineering workflow.

If this is not enough: A tablet or PC brings sensors like cameras inbuild and you can connect it via USB to the E-Device and via WLAN to internet at the same time. This adds a lot more opportunities for custom build webapps: e.g. use the inbuild camera of the tablet to take a picture of the application, link to web content for always up to date manuals…
