Hello
I got a frame grabber MVS 8100D but I have no idea for “Trig-Strobe connection”. Does anybody explain this “trigger strobe”? and How is it working? One more thing, can I connect it to DSQC 328A directly?
Thanks in advance!!

Hello
The trigger-strobe connection for the 8100D camera is connected to the camera and the DSQC 328A card. The trigger is sent from the robot controller to the camera and the strobe is sent from the camera to the robot controller. Here is a section from the manual that describes how this works.
Hello,
I also have a MVS 8100D camera and have connected the trigger-strobbe cables to the DSQC 328A card according to the figure. I run the Pickmaster program and send the position generator signal (cross connected with the output generator signal, simulated signals). I see the I/O Trigger/Strobbe signals (do_1;di_1) being sent and received from the camera but keep getting the 4316 and 4318 advices from the pickmaster. I also see the production image being received and the models in the Vision Analyzer being processed, but the robot won’t move. What could be the problem?
Thanks,
Rachid
For the 4316 and 4318 error the following migh apply.
Ofcourse the configuration on your PickMaster line might be wrong difficult to tell by your description.
Try to set the PC on half duplex. Also check that you have used the IP, default gateway and the subnet mask with the correct values on both the controllers and the PC. Check that there is no RSI issued on your Main Computer on your system. Some MC’s on the S4C+ have some problems with their network connections. Your local ABB office can help you with that. This only applies if you have a S4C+.
Is your hub 10 Mbit that might also help. You should also check that your trig and strobe wiring has the proper shielding. Check that you have the latest updates for your network card.
