Using frame grabber 8110 w. Windows 2000 [PickMaster 3]

I have trouble installing the 8110 frame grabber with Windows 2000.

The computer complains about that the frame grabber is not installed.

First of all, please make sure that service pack 4 is installed with Windows 2000.

You mentioned that the computer complains about that the frame grabber is not installed. Please perform the installation manually the following way.

  • From the windows device manager, select the “Other PCI device” and select to delete/remove the device
  • Restart the computer
  • When the automatic detection fails to recognize the frame grabber and picture 2.jpg (attached in zip-archive) is presented to you, choose the second alternative (“Skip driver installation of this device…”)
  • Install the 8110 frame grabber using the CVLSetup.exe program found in the PickMaster folder.
  • Restart the computer

Before starting PickMaster, please verify that the frame grabber is identified by cogtool. In a command/DOS prompt, please type the following:

cogtool --print

If the frame grabber is still not working properly, please put the attached script file 8110_startup.bat (also in attached zip-archive) in the Windows startup folder (so that the attached batch script is executed when Windows 2000 is starting up).

Restart the computer and then start PickMaster.
