I have a thought that I might want to switch to Windows 7 X64. Is this something that I should directly forget about, considering that I need to work with RAB?
If it is event possible, is there then any known problem that I might have?

OK, now i did the classic, i asked here before checking the release notes. So now I at least know that the 64 bit OS is out of question.
Guess that if anything then that 32 bit Win7 might work.
