ABB IRB 2400 SERIAL CONNECTION TO AN ALLEN BRADLEY

Hi,

I am doing my final year project and i am having trouble interfacing the ABB IRB 2400 robot and the Allan Bradley PLC.i want to interface them serially through ethernet or lan.
anyone has any idead how to do it?
and can you suggest me a software for programming the ABB IRB 2400?. is there another software for RAPID programming or is it done in ROBOTSTUDIO only?

You can use the teach pendant, it is difficult if you have a lot to program.

I have interfaced a 2400 robot with a congex vision system fairly easily, via serial. Few settings you have to get correct for them to communicate, like the baud rate.
