Hi,
I have a question about how to make Pickmaster v5.13 find online controllers that are on a different subnet to the one my laptop sits on.
Our situation is this:
On site, the robot controllers sit on a 140.80.0.*** network and if you are connected locally to the same network with the similar address on the same subnet it all connects no problem.
From our remote office, a permenant VPN connection has been setup to the site where the robots live. In our remote office my laptop now has a 192.168.0.*** address and can happily ping the robot controllers on the 140.80.0.*** address and even RobotStudio Online v5.13 can connect to the robots no problem but Pickmaster v5.13 cannot detect these controllers as being online.
I can even use the Pickmaster IO Panel application to see the robots and the values/states of the various I/O used from the remote office.
Is there a way of forcing Pickmaster to look for certain IP addresses?
Are there certain ports/programs that need to opened on the firewalls?
How does Pickmaster actually find the controllers online, does PM use the same software background programs (RobComCtrlServer and RobNetScanHost) to connect to controllers?
Is there anything else I am missing?
Thanks for your time
Tim
