Converting Files with CAD Converter

I have some files that are 3D solids (STEP and IGES) but they have a 2D layer that I also need. I can convert the files to ACIS (SAT) files with other software I have, but the 2D disappears. If I buy the license to use CAD Converter, will the 2D layers stay with the 3D solid?
