Hi, I need some help to start with Conveyor Tracking simulation in RobotStudio.

I’m having some problems with configuration of virtual controller with respect to conveyor tracking. Can anyone help me with that?

Right now I can’t even see option ConveyorTracking in HOME/ROBOT SYSTEM tab. I’m definitelly missing something :frowning:

I’m using version RS 5.11 and trying to build some cell from scratch, without any backups.

So I upgraded to RS 5.12 and then I found demo of Conveyor Tracking… but the question remains - is it possible to configure it with robot different than paint robot ? And how to do it ?

I need to simulate paletizer working in sync with moving conveyor…

Please help!

Hi,

The instructions at this post http://forums.robotstudio.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=3245 work with any robot, so you should be able to simulate picking from the moving conveyor and then stacking on a apllet.

Yeah, I have this docs… I was able to create system with conveyor but with an error. Here’s what I did:

  • created Mechanism of type Conveyor, compiled and saved as Library
  • created empty station, add some robot and selected Create System from Layout
  • in System Builder select 606-1 Conveyor Tracking check box
  • then I get message that Conveyor library is missing - I have to select Mechnism I created before
  • the whole procedure ends with message box that System was not created, however it is created - I have system in my Paths&Targets tab…

Is it normal or am I missing something ?

Hi, I’m still fightin’ RS with conveyor tracking…
…till now I was able to create working conveyor and generate system.
The problem I have now is that when I start silumation robot stops on the line

WaitWObj cnvWobj1;

I’m using sample code from documentation, so It should be OK.
Any ideas?
Please help!

Hi,
Take a look at the two new Tutorials (uploaded today) on the Community. One is called “Create Conveyor Mechanism” and shows how to create a mechanism of the type conveyor .
The other is called “Setup and Program a Station with Conveyor Tracking”, which start with an empty station and ends with a ready conveyor simulation.
