We’ve recently acquired a used IRB 6660 with an IRC5 controller. The previous owner advised that the SMB board needed replacement, and we’re about to install the new board.
Once the SMB is fitted, we’d like to run some diagnostic checks before permanently installing the robot. It’s currently sitting on a pallet, so now is the ideal time to identify any other issues before mounting and commissioning it.
Are there any recommended tests or diagnostics to verify the health of the robot, drives, motors, brakes, resolvers, etc.? Ideally, we’d like to gain some confidence that motion should be possible and that there aren’t any other major faults lurking in the system.
