Event Message 40728

Trying to Modify Bullseye on a 180 neck. Receiving Event Message 40728. Unable to calculate new frame. Any suggestions?

Had to do TCP manually. Could not get 180 torch to pass Bullseye.

Was this on the setup run?
How far through did it get before the 40728 error?

It would find the beam, rough check, tool straightening. But during the intermediate TCP it would throw that error.

Are you at or near singularity?

No. It is a 180 short torch. 5 is basically at a 90 degree angle in relation to 4, in order to get the torch perpendicular to the atbeam point. Not even close to singularity.

Found a couple of support cases on this error:

  1. The tcp is not allowed to be in line with axis 6. In your case Z axis would not be but Y or X could
Can you add an adapter flange to create a slight angle?
  2. Try using AccSet 30,30 to slow down the acceleration.

We would have to add an adapter flange. We have a 180 torch on an ATI, and that one runs fine. We ended up switching the 180 to a 22, so it is no longer an issue having to try and modify the bullseye. Thanks.
