EXT Axis doesn?t move during Simulation

Hello,
I create a Station with some Positioners, then i programmed a path with AWPP. All seems to be ok, but when I use the Simulation, the Graphic from the external axis doesnt’t move. All external Axis values are ok and there is no error message on the VC . Whats wrong?:rage:

PS.: When I open the path in AWPP, mark the whole path and click on the “Move to” button , the Graphic moves in the right way.

Best regards
Bertie

Hello Bertie,

Have you added the Action instruction to activate the unit? Select the path on the Active path objct on the tool bar. Right click on the Path name in the Elements tab. Select Insert Action Instruction.Add ActUnit instruction and Synchronize to VC.

  1. In “system bilder” you have to add a “Drive” for Ext axel.

  2. And after you have started your system you have to add a *.cfg file for external axis.

(ther are templets in Mediapool ->RW->utility->xxxx)

  1. After a restart you can atach your own external axis…

working range etc. can be change in RSO.

Bee ware to save your external axis in a separate file before creating a

Mechanical unit in RS.

because you cant change it after the “mechanical unit wizard” in RS.

Good luck

if it is’t a premaufacterd external axis from ABB

Ps. “it is a difficult jobb to tune a dynamic model to perfect” if you bild your own REAL robot..

Best way to apply external axis to a existent controller is to use connection kits like MU10 ,Mu20,Mu30 from ABB.
