Hi,
The Go Offline feature creates a VC from your selected RC in Online. Select your controller and press “Go Offline”.
I selected the controller and pressed the button, nothing happens (it seems)
After that I need to …
Where is the Virtual Controller created ?
do I have to select it, or is pressing the Go Ofline button enough ?
Hi
I guess the go offline only works if you have RW 5.11 or later. Correct??
Can’t get it to work on 5.10.02
If you don’t have RW 5.11 you don’t have the button (that’s right)
RW 5.11 is also installed on the controller.
Well the button is there and enabled (RW 5.10.02) but nothing happens so Henrik what is the clue to get this working?
Go Offline does not require RW 5.11 in the controller. If you are connected to the controller, have write access and correct user rights, the Go Offline button should be enabled. When you click on Go Offline a window should appear there you specify where the system should be created. If this window not appear something is wrong. I will report your problems.
Do we need to enable special user rights for this button ?
If not, I haven’t seen the window you mentioned.
If the button is enabled you have the correct user rights. One thing that could be the reason for your problem, is if you have a firewall on your PC that block the communication from the robot controller to the PC.
Using a standard Windows XP Pro with SP2, and the firewall is disabled.
So that couldn’t be the problem.
Thank you for the information, we are working with the problem.
Hi,
We have been able to reproduce the problem with the function “Go Offline” experienced by some of our users. The problem will be fixed in RobotStudio 5.11.01 that is planned to be released in December.
We are sorry for the inconvenience caused.
Kind regards,
