I need to make a aplication that have a PC with a software that communicate with a robot IRB140 IRC5, I need Know what is recomend software to make a application on PC like Visual Basic etc… If its possible what is the best mode to communicate whith robot RS232 etc?

You are pretty much limited to using Microsoft Visual Studio 2005, either Visual Basic or C#, with RAB 5.08 or higher. It would be much simpler to use the LAN port of the controller for connectivity, which requires the RobotWare option PC Interface. RAB is a Software Development Kit, so it does require prior experience with .Net programming to be used effectively.
