How to configure Omnicore simulation IO values on simulation start

Hello, I was wondering how to configure the simulation upon a ‘start’ that it sets certain IO variables and Group Outputs to a certain value (1 for example) instead of me having to toggle them in the ‘IO simulator’ and then resets those signals when I toggle something call ‘Reset robots’ or something like that. Is this possible? What does that set up look like if so and what would it involve? I keep going down the wrong path of trying to configure this and would appreciate any guidance! This is a multi-controller Omnicore system as well.

Why I’m needing this: I basically want to simulate what these certain IO values to mimic what the PLC will tell the robots upon a restart of the system or certain routines like ‘all robots go home’ or ‘run normal routine’ and would turn certain signals on/off etc.

I went down the rabbit hole of ‘smart components’ but cannot figure them out and not even sure that would solve my issue. I also looked under the simulations tab → reset → ‘manage states’ but still not sure that is the right area. Any guidance is very appreciated!

Hello,

You have the SimulationEvents Smart Component. You can then connect its output to your controller input.

Hello DenisFR,

Thank you for your reply!

Do you know how I can edit the component?

I was going under the ‘layout’ tab and right clicking the component but noticed the ‘edit component’ button is greyed out, and I cannot edit a smart component.

Hello,

In Simulation Tab you can open “Station Logic”. On Design, you can connect your components.
