How to substitute manipulator on IRC5 controller

Dear community,

I need to substitute a IRB 2400/16 with a IRB 4400/60 on the same IRC5 single controller (it’s the cabinet version with 3phase AC supply).

I want to ask if it is necessary only to wire the 3 cables on the controller or if it is necessary to do some configuration parameters on the controller, and in case if there is some guideline/clear manual to setup correctly.

Hallo, I checked installation manager in RS and there is no possiblity to exchange the manipulator with another type. Exchange in documentation means only exchange with the same type. Have you tried to connect RS to IRC5 after installing the new manipulator? Best way would be to ask your local ABB rep.
