Jerkiness during conveyor tracking [PickMaster 3]

I recently started up a simple Pickmaster system using 2 flexpickers sharing the picking and placing load on 2 parallel conveyors. For my initial testing, both pick and place positions are generated based on conveyor distance. No product is currently being moved. The standard RAPID code is installed, with the only change being accurate definition of tool data.

When the robot is exiting the conveyor tracking, it makes very jerky moves in the conveyor direction only. It appears to move upstream on the conveyor during the corner move. This motion seems more violent with higher conveyor speeds and smaller corner zones. It is readily visible at 250 mm/s and robot speeds above 4000 mm/s.

Pickmaster is version 3.10.0006 and the Baseware is 5.07.01.1030. All conveyor tracking parameters are at default values. Any suggestions for improving this behavior?

Hello,

We have noticed this behaviour at other customer sites as well. The same baseware version as you are currently experiencing problem with. We are looking into solutions and hopefully we will be able to post some update mid next week.

Hello Erik,

Was there a follow up to this post?
We have a similar installation suffering from this issue. We were running the same software versions until last week when we updated to 5.07.07.

Would it be possible to point me to the update for reference?

Kind Regards,

DJ

Hello,

Yes, this has been fixed. Please update to the latest RobotWare, currently 5.09.00.

If the problem persists, please contact your local ABB support.

BR, Erik

Thanks Erik,

Would it be possible to know which version of RobotWare the fix was made in?

Kind Regards,

DJ

Hello,

I would recommend to use the latest version of RobotWare, currently 5.09.00 regardless of when this specific fix was implemented.
