Recent inquiry on limitations - how much is too much on import of geometry.
Are there better ways to increase memory use for larger object imports.
Customer requesting had element 256mb in size which puts RS4.0 into a crawl on his fairly sized processor speed, memory and HD space.
Thanks for clarification on perhaps how to handle large imports where the details are critial by the customer expressed needs.

To see if the 2GB limit of the operating system causes the problem, then check for mem usage of the process RobotStudio.exe in the Task Manager. (32-bit Windows can only address up to 2 GB per application.) If the memory usage reaches the 2GB limit, then the CAD model needs to be reduced in size. If the problem appears before reaching the limit, then there might be something else in the CAD model that causes the problem.
Can you please post compatible and non compatible ABB Software IT products for WIN7 64 bit versus 32 bit enviroments.
Customers would like to see this for all prior ABB IT Software from 1990 forward.
