Want to use an IRC5 controller to operate all of our attachments WITHOUT the robot being present… ie like a test stand. Any Idea on how to create that type of system?

… put another way… Can you use an IRC5 controller without connecting a robot to it?..

Is there a way to run Rapid code in a real IRC5 control, while the physical robot arm is disconnected?..

You need a special drive key that will allow you to select no manipulator. You can order the robot this way or contact your local ABB support organization to obtain a new key.
