I have a couple IRC5 systems with the new omnicore type flexpendant. The pendants keep constantly crashing/rebooting. Has anyone else experienced this?
I’ve seen this a couple different ways with these pendants. If it seems to just flicker off and then reboot as normal, it is likely an issue with the cable/connection points over the pendant itself, in which case I would try to swap it with a cable you know is good to test. I’ve had a different issue on one where upon reboot it would go to the boot menu first, and on that one I had some issues with my system build that i had to fix within the installation manager.

Bumping this. Still haven’t figured out the reason for the TPU4 flexpendant for IRC5 crashing and rebooting during normal operation (welding). Replacing the TPU4 pendant with the older version pendant fixes the issue though. Not sure why that would be.
What kind of welding? Could be interference from weld power cables, EMI.
Robotic MIG. If electrical interference was the issue, I would expect the older style pendants to have the same problem unless the protections are different.
It could be the case that they are more sensitive. I would ensure that the grounds are good as possible.
