problem with synchronization

dear all,

i’ve a problem.

  1. what i do:
  1. copy station and system file from other PC

or change the direcrtory of system on my PC

  1. open station and relocate the system file
  1. problem:

everything’s ok

but can’t synchronize path to vc!

output window shows:Synchronization to VC completed with errors. Please double click to view details. details is : [Fatal Error] Sync aborted

why this happens? anyone can help me? TKS.

Hi davidseven,

A system will not work correctly if you change its location and warm start it. You need to cold start the system in the new location, and then restore a backup. I recommend you use Pack & Go to create a package that contains the station, system and backup.

Pack & Go can solve the problem.

but I wanna know if there are other solutions when I copy a simulation to another PC? Tks.

hi

this is the way i have done a copy from one PC to another

first i copy the mediapool from PC to PC

Then i save the original station on a networkdrive, and then open the station from the other PC where i have copied the mediapool ,and this works perfectly.

I havent had any problems doing it this way
