Robotstudio 5.10 for IRC5 & S4C+

Dear Anders,

It would be of my keen interest to know if we can have option to choose either IRC5 or S4C+ generation robot controllers for any IRB6600 manipulator.

Robotstudio best advantage could be when we can create a workcell with the complete running program backup ( backward integration ), because ROBCAD and DELMIA are more suitable as per OEM standards and serve purpose for forward integration much better i.e simulation to OLP.

Hi,

RobotStudio 5.X only supports IRC5. If you want to simulate an S4C+ controller you must use RobotStudio 4.0. However, what most customers with a mixed environment do is that they create IRC5 replicas of their S4 systems and make sure to only use the RAPID program from RobotStudio 5.X in their S4 controllers. RAPID is compatible between S4C+ and IRC5 in most cases. This is only applicable for robot models that are supported in both S4C+ and IRC5 though.
