RSConnectDIOToSnap7 error: TCP : Error receiving Data

Hello @DenisFR, I am encountering a communication failure between RobotStudio and TIA Portal during extended simulations of my robotic cell while using the smart component RSConnectDIOToSnap7. After several minutes of running, the SmartComponent “RSConnectDIOToSnap7” reports an error (“TCP : Error receiving Data”) and drops the connection to the PLC. This forces me to stop the simulation and restart, which makes it impossible to perform long-duration simulations. I’ve verified that my network adapter settings (IP address, rack/slot…) are correct, but the connection still failling unpredictably. I need a more reliable way to maintain or automatically reestablish the connection using this SmartComponent so that I can run uninterrupted simulations of the cell.

I am simulating a 1500 with PLCSIM Advanced V5.0 upd2, without using NetToPLCSim. I am using TIA Portal V18 and RobotStudio 2024. Is there any way to resolve this issue?

Sorry, I’ve not work on it since a long time and don’t plan to in a near future.
Have you take a look at Snap7 forum?
Is your CPU using high, so you may loose some frame?

Hello, thanks for responding so quickly. When the error occurs, my CPU usage is around 40%. I’ve searched the forums but can’t find anyone who’s had a similar problem. Could it be something related to port 102?

No, I don’t think so. If it’s due port 102, you’ll never get connection.
