I have an encoder from Sick-Stegmann. The output is HTL Push/Pull. It is rated at 60ma at 24vdc.
Has anybody had trouble or success with this encoder when connected to a DSQC 377A.
On my first system I connected one up and the 1A and 1B LED lights did not work. I connected a 480ohm resistor between 0vdc and each channel which appeared to work.
On the next system I did the same. The LED’s work but the value in the jog window does not change. Is there something else needed to be done? I have checked voltage and current. All seem to be within the specs for the Qtracker. I have also checked pulling the resistor high instead of low and also changing resistor values to draw more current but so far unsuccessful.
