Transfer user accounts between two OmniCore controller

Hello,

How can I transfer user accounts between two ABB OmniCore controller without this warning message? We have a lot of controllers and users, so it is very cumbersome and takes a long time to create users and permissions on each controller. Is there any solution to this?

There is an option to import credentials. Then you can create your access rules and export them to a file, so you can import your settings whenever you need to.

Good job.

That’s not an official ABB tool, is it? Where can I download this tool?

The picture shows the IRC5 setting, which actually works well. OmniCore also has such an option, but it does not allow the configuration exported from controller “A” to be imported to controller “B”. That’s the error message I posted earlier.

It depends… If your controller A is IRC5 and B is IRC6, there may be incompatibility, as the structure has changed. Now, RW with the same version shouldn’t present an error.

As I wrote: between two ABB OmniCore controller. So between two RW7 system, same version (7.20). The fault is not about incompatibility, safety message.

Okay, I understand, I hadn’t paid attention to the controller types…
So this error is related to the RobotWare 7 (OmniCore) User Access Assurance System (UAS). Unlike previous versions (IRC5), OmniCore generates user configuration files that are encrypted or linked to a unique hardware key (Controller ID) for cybersecurity reasons.

I believe there is no way to do this. See more details in 3HAC065037-001 - User Authentication and Authorization

Good Job.

I did it. In RobotWare Installation Utilities Security Settings I changed the unique passphrase to same.
