Hi, I need to upgrade a customer’s S4C+ controller to a more modern controller. They don’t have the new controller in yet, but I wanted to get experience upgrading the backup I took from the S4 before the new controller comes in, so production is back up faster. I have explored using modern RobotStudio and RobotStudio 4, but I am at a loss on how to proceed. Anyone willing to give step by step instructions would be appreciated.
Did you have ABB get you a new keystring for RW6.x? That would be the best way to do it, you would then use the Installation manager to create the system. The system parameters would all be in the correct syntax. Then you would add the IO manually. All the modules should load up no problem.
