Visual SafeMove

Hi, I would like to try configure and test Visual SafeMove in RobotStudio.

I created a new solution with station and controller, set some safe zone, and after clicking on Controller → Write config in Visual SafeMove ribbon, I get message that robot controller can be restarted. After trying to restart the robot, I get:

Exception: RPC server is unavailable. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x800706BA)

After that, the station is completely unusable, the controller is down, and even the RobotStudio ignores clicking on exit button. Also after PackAndGo the solution, I’m not able to unpack it again.

I’m using RobotStudio 6.04.01 and I’ve tried both 64-bit and 32-bit versions with the exact same result.

Hello,

Difficult to say but it seems to start up ok and I think the problem is due to the NetScan process not being shut down correctly. Before trying to restart the controller, start TaskManager and shut down “RobNetScanHost.exe” and “RobComCtrlServer.exe”. You may need to click “show processes from all users” in order to see them.

It turned out, that I used robot that doesn’t support SafeMove. Using another robot from Manual - Functional safety and SafeMove - Chapter 1.3 works fine.
