Coder Bug when Conveyor up to 10 meters [PickMaster 3]

Hello,

I’ve got a serious bug with Pickmaster…

My Pickmaster line is like this :

  • One IRB340 on an IRC5 controlled by Pickmaster
  • One convoyor with one coder (19970 counts per meter)

When I stop the Pickmaster project and let the conveyor running more than 10 meters and after that I run at new the Pickmaster project. The value of the CNV1 (in the window “Jogging” on the flexpendant) stay between 0.1mm and 0.3mm and so the items send to Pickmaster by the vision system never comes to the pick zone…
I’ve got to stop and restart again the Pickmaster project to debug the value of the CNV1. After that restart the value is correctly increment.

It’s a real problem because my conveyor could never be stop. And the operator have to start and stop twice the Pickmaster project to run correctly the process.

Hello,

I am not sure if you have ever been running succesfully so far.

Please verify conveyor distances by using the analouge signal “cXPosition” where x=1,2,3… that represents the conveyor number.

This “cXPosition” provides the distance of the conveyor in meters and it will start over from 0 after anywhere in between 2-20 meters.

Also, the cXSpeed may be used to verify that the electrical signals are correct. If cXSpeed < 0 when the conveyor is moving forward, the encoder signals are inverted and the system believes that the conveyor is moving backwards. To correct this, simply swap the signals between the encoder and the encoder board.

If all of this has been verified, please make sure that the encoder version is up to date. For further information, please refer to:
