Connecting ABB irb6400 with S4C to PC through DSQC336

Hi,

I’m facing a problem while trying to connect my S4C controller to PC through ethernet, I have recently plugged in a DSQC336 and tried to configure it, I have created a TCP/IP for transmission and an Ethernet physical connection but when I try to add RAP I don’t find any option in the “type” list, do I need to install driver for the DSQC336? can you please help with clear steps on how to configure the DSQC336 and establish an ethernet connection?

Hi Graemepaulin, thanks for your reply, I have read this earlier, but in my case I have no errors after connecting the DSQC336, I just don’t know how to configure it and establish a connection, I have read the communication part in the user’s manual, but when it comes to choose the type of Application Protocol (ftp or ntfs) there are no options, is it because if the robot software? do I need to install a driver for this network card?

Yes you need the communication option(s) added to the key disk.

Could you please advise me how to do it? do I need to re-install RobotWare? if yes, where to get a copy?

The new key disk can only be supplied by the factory aftersales team, so you will need to contact your local ABB robotics office to get a price for this.
