I would like to know how to add IODD files to the I/O engineering design?

You want to add IO-Link device directly to controller?

I’m not sure you can. You may have a IO-Link master connected to controller using Communication Bus (Profinet, Ethernet/IP, …). Then you map in your Master IO-link to signal.
