Is there a track option that will work with the IRB 8700 inside Robot Studio?

Good Morning!

Is there a track option within robot studio that will work with the new 8700? Or is there a downloadable module in the Apps section that would work? Creating a system from my layout has failed with the IRBT7004. This is just for illustration/explanation purposes so it doesn’t have to be a perfect representation (i.e. a Guedel TMF-5).

IRB 87000 can be used with a track motion but that ABB does not plan to develop a track motion. Instead, you can source a third party track motion such as from Gudel.

I’ve even taken the step of creating my own track. I keep getting the error “This configuration is not supported.” when I try to mount an 8700.

There is an Add-In developed in the robotstudio called RCSconfig where you can build unsupported models.
