Hello, I shared a RAPID P&G file with my other computer, and it won’t let me edit the RAPID code now? Why is this? Anyone know of a fix? The ‘Request write access’ is greyed out and any time I save my changes it never actually saves them.
I’m on RS 2025.2.
Is the option premium licensed on this other computer?
You don’t have to ‘Request write access’ on a virtual controller.
Yes. I have the premium license on both computers. (My old coworker was the one who created the PackandGo and had shared it with me, but some reason when I make any changes to the rapid or anything, i have to click the ‘save’ button and save it in the correct location, but it never actually updates and all my changes are lost.
Have you tried to use ‘Apply - Apply changes’ or ‘Apply - Apply all’ button under ‘RAPID’ ribbon?
I think there is only a ‘save’ button to save the entire RS project, but not a ‘save’ button for saving RAPID change. I will have a popped up window to select a location when using ‘Ctrl+S’, yet to save RAPID I use ‘Ctrl+Shift+S’, which is the hot key for ‘Apply all’.
You are correct! ‘Apply’ was the button I needed to click to save my code changes, located under the RAPID tab → Controller → Apply. I wouldn’t have thought the Apply button to be the one I needed to click, so thank you for your help!
