I have several systems installed where the customer claims that everything is started and running, but nothing will pick. The PickMaster is Running, the IRC5 controller is running, images are being taken and processed by the position source, but the program pointer is sitting on the GetItemTgt statement and never moves. If PickMaster is then stopped and restarted, it works correctly. The customer states that this occurs 4-5 times weekly. It seems that it happens after operators go into the cell. I am wondering if they are opening the AutoStop, and then from a System Input, NOT from PickMaster, the program is restarted (all while on the GetItemTgt statement). Could the GetItemTgt statement not restart correctly? I will be trying to simulate the system in the next couple of days, but thought that I would see if anyone had an opinion.
I have seen this also and our systems do not incorporate the system input to start the program. All starts, stops, pauses, etc come through RIS or Pickmaster. I think you might be on to something with the AutoStop connection, but I have never been able to trace this out.
