PickMaster Upgrade [PickMaster 3]

Dear sir/mdm,

I would liketo upgrade PickMaster from version 2.1 to 3.0, please advice on the following queries. The customer wants to standard the PickMaster in their plant to ease the difficuilty of maintenance and training:

a) New lisence for PickMaster 2.3 needed to be purchased? or FOC?

b) After the upgrading, do we need to re-configure the project (calibration, lines layout, vision models parameters tuning), or I only need to do the calibration of cameras?

c) Do we need to upgrade the encoder software? How do we check the encoder version?

The following applies when upgrading from PickMaster 2.0x, 2.1x and 2.2x to 2.3x.

a) There is a new license system for PickMaster 2.3x, a new license ID must be obtained. This is however free of charge.

b) Any project from 2.x can be upgraded to 2.3x without the need to re-configure the project.

c) The encoder firmware version required is listed in the release notes. The version must be 1.3 or higher for use with PickMaster 2.3x.

How can I check the encoder version? Can I check from PickMaster project configuration platform (The platform to set the camera type, frame grabber type) ?

For upgrading and checking version of the encoder software, please refer to the “ReadMe.pdf” document in the “EncoderSoftware” directory of the PickMaster CD.
