License information for PM3.40 [PickMaster 3]

PickMaster 3.40 (and later revisions) comes with a change of the current license system.

The previous license activation server has become obsolete and can no longer be supported.

The release of PM3.40 is expected in 2011 w42.

Consequences

  1. PickMaster 3.40 cannot be used with any license generated for older releases of

PickMaster, i.e. PickMaster 3.3x or earlier.

  1. PickMaster 3.3x versions will not be possible to activate after 2011.

  • Unactivated licenses must then be upgraded and PickMaster 3.40 (or later) is required.

  • Already activated licenses will keep working.

  1. Upgrade of older PickMaster versions to PickMaster 3.40 (or later) requires an upgrade of the license with a new Activation Key.

Remarks

The user interface for installing a PickMaster 3.40 license is similar to PickMaster 3.3x.

Expansion and rehost of licenses for PickMaster version 3.0x, 3.1x and 3.2x will still be possible without an upgrade of PickMaster version.

Upgrade procedure, from PickMaster 3.3x to PickMaster 3.40

  1. Contact your local ABB support for a copy of PM3.40.

  2. Upgrade of PickMaster 3.3x licenses to PickMaster 3.40 (or later) is free of charge.

Send an upgrade request to License Support including current Activation Key. A new Activation Key for PickMaster 3.40 will be sent in return.
