question about min. VGA card memory

Hi everybody,

What’s the min. VGA card memory for robot studio to operate well

in the “system requirements” it is stated that the screen resolution should not be less than
1280 x 1024

but what about the min. VGA card memory

another related question:

can the small size of ram (512 MB ) affects the apperance in the robot stuio

It’s hard to state a hard lower limit for graphics memory, but as a rule of thumb, the more the better. Perhaps the topic discussed in http://forums.robotstudio.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=3748 will shed some light on the issue.

When it comes to regular RAM, it is hard to use anything but Notepad with only 512 MB or RAM. 1 GB is minimum for an acceptable user experience, but with 2 GB, you will have sufficient RAM to get productive with reasonable RS station size.

i solved the graphics card problem with editing render option to openGL instead of Direct3D

And I will add an additional RAM to my laptop
