Robot Motion/Rapid Code Hesitation

Hello anyone!

To start, with only my robot controller and a PC hooked up (the PC’s HMI is starting a motion path), my machine runs fine.

When I hook up another PC, say to use Robot Studio, to either the LAN (with controller and PC1) or Service port, I have pauses or hesitation in both the rapid code and motion programs. I may not even be connected to the controller (RS not open) and it will do this. If I do have RS open, I can actually see the program pointer just sitting at a line and waiting. The length of the pause can be 10 seconds or 2 seconds.

Any thoughts on this? It’s very irritating, but luckily the machine works when nothing is hooked up, which is the normal situation.
