RobotStudio Online 5.14 performance to low

Hi

I have problems with RobotStudio 5.14 when I am Online with a robot. Some times the RobotStudio just doesn’t react any more. I watched the Windows Task-Manager and saw that RobotStudio gets some process time but after 10 seconds the process time for RobotStudio goes to 0 for 5 seconds. At that time even scrolling in a program module is not possible. After that ‘sleeping’ period the scrolling or the inputs will be seen in RobotStudio. My colleague has the same problems, but he has a similar installation on his laptop. Does anybody have similar problems?

Try to run the attached script. It will re-register some components of the RobotCommunicationRuntime. As an effect, the performance will revert to normal for affected installations. The script will not cause any harm to installations that did not have the problem with the component registration.

Thank you for that script. But it didn’t help. My RobotStudio still goes sleeping for 5 seconds and is awake for 10 seconds.

Hi Henrik,

I have the same problem and and already runned the script several times with no results.

Working online the systems always hangs for a few seconds everytime I apply changes or if I open different modules.

From version 5.12.x the reaction from RSO is getting worse

Mentioned it a few times, will investigate this with ABB onsite this week :roll_eyes:

Hi

I stopped now to work with RobotStudio Online 5.14. It is impossible to work online, when the whole computer freezes for 5 seconds, again and again.

I installed RobotStudio 5.13 again. It works perfect, because the robot I am working with has RobotWare 5.10.

But for the next new robot I have no solution yet. :angry:

Same here.
I have both 5.13 and 5.14 and only use 5.13 on online controllers.
I have a cell VC cell that i upgraded to 5.14 soo have to use it. The offline editor is very slow and yesterday i opened my sell and one off my SC misses 2 line sensors. I had saved it as libery so easy to restore the SC but still a bug.

Hopefully we soon get a 5.14.01 with fixes :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

This problem should be solved in RobotStudio 5.14.01, which now is available for download.

I face same performense in 5.14.01 as in 5.13.

RobotStudio 5.14.01 + SP1 performance in RapidEditor is still very very slow!
Any other solutions?
