Seamname in welding modules [ArcWelding PowerPac]

Hi
when i make an welding module i allways get seamnames in the module.
Is it possible NOT to have seamnames in the welding module??
Eksampel:ArcLStart [[353.261511625684,49.500001179992,1731.93420922226],[0.411371808043443,0.602793405068322,0.672083043136053,-0.125370369235269],[-1,0,0,0],[9E9,9E9,9E9,9E9,-135,9E9]],v1000,sm1,wd1,fine,tWeldGunWObj:=wRot_1SeamName:=“Melrodforarb_Weld_10”;

Moved to forum for ArcWelding PowerPac.

Hi,
Once you created the seam you can modify the ArcLStart instruction in AWPP and replace the seamname with a blank. If you then sync to VC the “SeamName” argument is not used.

What are thiese strange answers in the forum???

The major reason to use seam names is when a weld seam requires multipass replay and the seam will be stored for replay at a later point in the weld sequence. When creating a weld in RobotStudio, delete the seam name in the weld instruction field.

Another option is to create a java script that can be executed for the part module in UltraEdit that will strip all seam names out of weld instructions.

I dont know how to make scripts in utraedit…can i get info about his somewhere or can anyone help me create such a script?? :slight_smile:

I am not a Java programmer so I cannot write a script. I have one I use but cannot distribute it as it is proprietary. Contact your nearest ABB office and maybe they can direct how to obtain a script or who can write one.
