Station Load Error - C0040403: No response from controller. Netscan timeout.

I’m getting the following error when trying to open a saved RobotStudio station. The station has been fine until this morning.

The error read…‘There was a problem when starting the Virtual Contoller. C0040403: No response from the controller. Netscan timeout.’

I’ve tried restarting RobotStudio and my machine but the error is still there.

Any idea what would cause this?

Did you move your project to a new location with out considering ‘Pack and Go’?

No. I saved the cell, went home for the day, came in the next day and tried to load the cell then got the error.

I managed to get rid of the error by loading a different cell with a different system. When I returned to the suspect cell / system the error went. I lost the baseframe position of one of the robots in the cell though.
