To create a tool that can grip and release, I must create a mechanism and then convert it to tool?

I’ve created a simple tool in Solid works and I want to convert theses geometry in to tool, but I’d like this tool could be simulated with two possition : opened and closed. How I can do this??

I think your tool is only one piece. Tool should be do with 3 pieces. I send you my gripper when I be at computer.
